With the dash of nomadic color and custom costumes from leading Hollywood design company, Lenique,  my dance partner, Alosha Anatoliy and I will take the stage in New York City this coming weekend.  Lena Kosovich, owner of Lenique, is a costume designer extraordinaire—herself having been a world champion show dancer,  a pro on Dancing with the Stars, and a costume designer for the hit show Dancing with the Stars.  “Working with Carolyn and Alosha to create the colorful, ‘boho’ costumes for their dance was the ultimate in a creative experience,”  says Lena.  Continue reading →

Had my Dad lived, he would have been 100- years-old today!  Instead, he’s having some birthday cake in Heaven.  My Mom survives and is here on Earth.  While I am the older of their two biological children, they were older parents when I was born.  I thought I’d take a day to remember him and all he meant and means to me.  I’ll also use this as a time to opine on “family of origin”. We have an uneventful Delta flight from Kennedy Airport leaving around 4:30 PM in New York (KJFK) to Moscow (KSVO) arriving around 9 AM. Dwight Ensley (my husband), Alosha and I are greeted at the Moscow Airport by Arina Demina, soon to be a Russian lawyer and to be our guide for the week. She is holding pink hydrangeas and roses, which she gives to me. Arina welcomes Alosha and me as Dance Legends. There are 4600 miles between us and New York City and a seven-hour time difference. I hope this week to explore many legal issues related to family law, as surely there is a solution for the children of the world and state interference with families and children. Continue reading →
